Kuul started out as a part of Portacool, LLC in 1996 when the company began manufacturing Kuul Evaporative Media™ for their evaporative coolers. In the following years, Kuul broadened its reach to serve a wider range of industries including Data Center, Gas Turbine, and HVAC.
In 2022 we rebranded to Kuul Evaporative Technologies reflecting our commitment to providing cutting-edge evaporative cooling media and expertise. In 2023, Kuul Evaporative Technologies transitioned to operate under the Condair Group. This alignment with Condair, a global leader in the industry, enhances both brands’ capabilities and market reach.
Condair has established a deep level of respect within the industry, further bolstered by the addition of the Kuul product line. Founded in 1948, Condair continues to solidify its position as a global leader in humidification, dehumidification, and evaporative cooling, renowned for their innovative solutions and commitment to quality.

This system provides efficient humidification and evaporative cooling for industrial and commercial applications with low energy use. This expansion allows us to support various industries, such as automotive, that need enhanced humidification and cooling. These innovations allow us to provide our customers with access to a wider range of solutions. Our lineup of solutions now includes media, media in cassettes, or full systems.

Not only does the merger of these powerful brands allow us to expand our product offering, but it also has brought us the opportunity to increase our production capacity. Our new, expansive 400,000-square-foot production facility in Richmond, Virginia is slated to begin operations in 2025. This ensures that Kuul Evaporative Media is still 100% Made in the USA, while also enabling us to increase production with the same great quality our customers have come to expect.
By 2026, all production operations will move from our facility in Center, Texas to this new facility, which will act as the new headquarters for our team. Our new facility represents increased production space and creates closer engagement with our clients.
In addition to Condair’s other existing sites in Wisconsin and Ottawa, this new Virginia facility will expand the Condair network across the North American continent to better support the global community.
